The Punisher War Zone is a comic book spin-off series for the Marvel Comics character The Punisher. The series went from 1992 to 1995 with multiple writers over the course of the series.
The series was mainly known for being a vehicle for longtime Marvel artist John Romita, Jr., who had returned to Marvel after a lengthy period away from drawing a monthly title.
Two 64 page annuals were also released. The 1993 annual contained the stories: "Bulletproof", "Unfinished Business" and "Professionals", as well as a pin-up gallery. The 1994 annual contained the stories: "Hurt So Good", "Second Chance" and "Domino Theory" and a pin-up gallery. In 2009 the series was revised as a six issue limited-series with a story line called "The Resurrection of Ma Gnucci".
